Topcon’s RL-H4C laser offers power options
Written by Aggregates & Roadbuilding
topconresizeJuly 21, 2011 – The RL-H4C construction laser, recently introduced by Topcon Positioning Systems, is available in two versions – one powered by alkaline D cell batteries and the other by a NiMH rechargeable battery pack or, alternatively AC power.

In field tests, the RL-H4C gets more than 100 hours of continuous usage with alkaline batteries and up to 60 hours on a single charge.

“It has a powerful working range with an accuracy of ±10 arc seconds,” says Tony Vanneman, TPS construction products marketing manager.

The new laser also comes with a slope matching function and an IP66 dust/water protection rating.

Vanneman says, “Its high-power 2.4-megawatt diode means the contractor has a 2,600-foot (800-metre) diameter working radius, making it a great reference for machine-mounted receivers.”
