Vista adds heavy equipment online training modules
June 27, 2011 – Vista Training Inc. has launched two web-based training modules as part of its Silver Series: Heavy Equipment – Intro & Safety, and Heavy Equipment – Pre-Use Inspection, designed for trainees new to construction and mining, and are prerequisites for other series modules.

pre-use Intro & Safety familiarizes trainees with seven key types of heavy equipment used on mine sites and large construction projects, key principles of worksite safety and recommended practices for equipment startup and shutdown.

The one-hour Pre-Use Inspection seminar teaches trainees how to perform a pre-use inspection on all machine types presented in Intro & Safety.

“Mines and contractors can use these two modules to provide a solid foundation in basic safety training practices, which they can build upon with procedures and regulations specific to their worksite and region,” says Bruce Rabe, CEO of Vista Training.
