Feb. 4, 2011 – Vulcan Materials Co. on Wednesday reported a wider loss for the fourth quarter, reflecting lower sales as well as margin drop amid a decline in construction activity and lower demand for aggregates. The loss per share for the quarter came in wider than analysts' expectations.
The Birmingham, Alabama-based company reported net loss for the fourth quarter that widened to $47.0 million or $0.37 per share from $13.35 million or $0.11 per share in the year-ago quarter. | READ MORE
