Next step for Port Mann Bridge in B.C.

Jan. 26, 2011 – The first phase of the new Port Mann Bridge deck over the Fraser River in Metro Vancouver is complete.

TRANSPORTATION AND INVESTMENT CORPORATION

The custom-made gantry weighs 700 tonnes and is the key piece of equipment used to install 90-tonne, pre-made concrete deck sections for the new Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver, B.C.
 
Work has been finished on the Surrey, B.C. side and preparations are underway to install the bridge deck on the Coquitlam, B.C. side.
