Dec. 7, 2010 – The movie Jerry Maguire, starring Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Renee Zellweger, popularized the saying, “Show me the money.” To understand the economy, the maxim needs to be modified only slightly to “follow the money.”
Money moves back and forth between five asset classes: stock, bonds, real estate, currencies and commodities. (By the way, commodities include such esoteric items as fine art and cars.)
