Oct. 29, 2010 – While the Ambassador Bridge waits for regulatory approvals to build a new span between Windsor, Ont. and Detroit, it’s going ahead with a $20-million deck replacement on its existing aging structure.

Testing last year found the deck, which dates from the bridge’s opening in 1929, to be in “poor condition” with “cracked, unsound and (chipped) concrete, exposing significantly corroded reinforcing steel.” | READ MORE
