Plant manager joins Lafarge Joppa Cement
Oct. 1, 2010, Joppa, Ill. – Lafarge North America’s subsidiary, Lafarge Midwest Inc. recently appointed Michael Klenk as the new Plant Manager at its Joppa, Illinois cement facility. Klenk replaces Devendra Mody, who accepted another position with the Lafarge Group in Europe.

Klenk has been with Lafarge for more than 20 years and brings extensive experience to his new role. Most recently, Klenk managed its cement plant in Whitehall, Pennsylvania and the Ontario, Canada plant operated by its subsidiary, Lafarge Canada Inc.

“We are delighted to have Michael join our team at Joppa,” said Olivier Biebuyck, President of the River Region Business Unit, under which the Joppa Cement Plant falls. “Michael brings with him a great combination of technical and operations experience that I know will help him be successful in this role.”
