Lipman names new VP of engineering
Sept. 23, 2010 – James J. Mehail PE, has been named vice-president, Engineering for Lippmann-Milwaukee, Inc., a leading heavy equipment manufacturer of quality crushing and screening machinery based in Wisconsin. Lippmann serves the aggregate processing, recycle, crushing and mining industries domestically and internationally.

Mr. Mehail brings a wealth of engineering and leadership experience to the Lippmann organization. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, class of ’87, James earned two bachelors degrees; the first in Engineering Mechanics – Aerospace, and the second in Naval Science. He received a Master of Science – Engineering Management from Milwaukee School of Engineering in ’98.

Mehail’s professional experience includes work at Hamilton Sundstrand Aerospace - Rockford, Illinois, where, as a Weight Manager / Staff Engineer, he was in charge of weight reduction associated with design power density optimization efforts for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Bombardier CSeries regional jet programs.

Prior to that, Mehail was employed at Astronautics Corporation of America - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was responsible for working with a team of production, systems hardware, and software engineers as Assistant to the Airbus A400 M Program Manager. He was also an Engineering Hardware and Software Project Engineer for the Airbus

Mehail indicates he was extremely impressed by the group of dedicated and versatile craftsmen and professionals he met when touring the Lippmann-Milwaukee manufacturing plant. He is anxious to meet Lippmann distributors and customers to learn as much as possible regarding their operations, performance of Lippmann equipment in the field and the customers’ near and far-term product needs. Mehail envisions many opportunities for the company, specifically in the areas of weight reduction, automation and industrialization, in an effort to increase manufacturing capacity, open-up new markets to the company’s product lines and steadily grow the business to the next level. He looks to apply his leadership, management and engineering skills to furthering the success of a company he respects for its family tradition, legendary products, and continuous focus on exceeding customer expectations.
