Premier Gordon Campbell and Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon recently announced a massive $14 billion transit plan for British Columbia. The plan calls for $11.1 billion in new funding, with the province committing $4.75 billion, and the remainder coming from partners including the federal government, TransLink and local government. Mack names new president Mack Trucks, Inc., has announced that Dennis R. Slagle will succeed Paul L. Vikner as president and CEO of the company effective April 1, 2008. Alberta registers record infrastructure spending in 2007 Capping one of the busiest construction seasons in its history, Alberta invested more than $4.1 billion during 2007 on new roads, new and upgraded schools, expanded post secondary institutes and health facilities. |
